Pray for the Residents of Picher, Oklahoma

August 29th, 2008 by Peggy in Customers, Prayer

We recently received a request for prayer from a customer in the Picher, Oklahoma area. She related how in the 1980’s Picher and several other small, surrounding towns became part of a Superfund site called Tarr Creek. A Superfund site is a toxic waste site identified by the Environmental Protection Agency for cleanup.

Imagine your hometown uninhabitable and slowly disappearing from the landscape. Susie told us that at a reunion held recently, the women of Picher met and reminisced. Then they all cried.

Please pray for the people of Picher, Oklahoma, that God will move in a mighty way to hasten the sale of the remaining homes and businesses so that the residents can begin new lives free from the fear of pollution and cave-ins.
