Help for Nepal
April 13th, 2010 by Peggy in MinistryBlessed Children’s Home is an orphanage in Nepal that NewLife has had the pleasure to help over the years. It began in 2002, when we challenged our customers, vendors, and supporters to match funds to finish a new orphanage building. With your help, we were able to raise over $16,000 for this construction so that many orphans would have a home.
Now we have the opportunity to help again. Blessed Children’s Home has relocated and asked for $3,000 to help finish the new children’s compound by adding the housing necessary for adult caretakers to stay with the children on site (they currently must live outside of the compound). This is an opportunity for NewLife once again to help put the “finishing touches” on this orphanage and help spread God’s love to the ever-increasing number of Christians in Nepal.
From now until May 20th, a percent of sales from our featured summer designs will be donated to Blessed Children’s Home, up to the $3,000 needed for this construction project. Our customers have always been a part of our partnership with this orphanage, and we would like to thank each of you for your purchases that make our support of Christian ministry possible.
