Janis Viren is the director of EquipNepal, a Christian ministry that serves the people of Nepal. We met Janis years ago when NewLife raised matching funds to complete the building of an orphanage in Birganj. She is a very dedicated and special person, but her frequent travels will soon be sidelined.

Janis has had kidney disease for 34 years and now she must have a transplant. The donor will be her sister, and the procedure will take place this weekend. While the outcome looks good, Janis will require a lengthy recuperative period. Although EquipNepal will continue to function, she will be missed. Please pray for Janis’ speedy and complete recovery.
