Millions of children in the world do not have access to a good education, but a new non-profit organization is working to change that. Their vision is One Laptop Per Child, a specially designed computer for children in developing nations that promotes learning and collaboration. Their XO laptop is small, portable, rugged, and has a custom-designed system to make it easy to use and understand. And most importantly - these laptops can be purchased and delivered to a child for only $200.

Several countries around the globe have signed up to participate in the project, including Peru, Rwanda, Uruguay, and Libya. Individuals or businesses can also donate laptops.

For the price and small size, it’s an impressive system. Every aspect of the computer has been designed for its end environment. It offers tools for reading, chatting, drawing, math, and music creation, as well as connecting wirelessly to other OLPC’s and to the internet. For areas where electricity is not available, it can be powered by car batteries, solar energy, even by foot pedal or crank. No matter which is used, these little green machines may have just enough power to change lives.

The end of the year usually brings a lot of reflection on the events of the previous months, and more than a few top ten lists. So here’s our contribution - our Top 10 Best-Selling T-Shirts of 2007.
