Excerpts from a Mission Report (March 2009)
By Joe Dugan, Director of the Peanut Butter Gang/Hospitality Too Soup Kitchen

Did you know that you could be lonely in a crowded room? That is what missionary Rose Del la Cruz was discovering with the elderly tribal people in the mountains of the Philippines. In large families with not too much to eat, the elderly were being ignored. They were dying at an early age from malnutrition and loneliness. Rose had a plan to involve forty teenagers at the Little Baguio mission to visit the elderly on Saturdays, cook them a meal, bathe them, wash their hair, and provide some warm conversation. This would do two things: provide a sense of hope for the elderly and teach the young people compassion.

A 30th Anniversary Gift for You

December 29th, 2008 by Amanda in NewLife

Over the last two months, while our Sales, Accounting, and Productions Departments have been hard at work producing and shipping your Christmas and holiday orders, the Marketing and Art Departments have been working to create NewLife’s 30th Anniversary Calendar — our gift to you, our customers.

It has been a very exciting time as we reviewed the last 30 years at NewLife Industries and decided that the focus of the calendar would be the mission of our company: to promote Christ with our products, with our finances, and by the example we set as a Christian company. To show you how we accomplish our mission, we wanted to take you to some of the places around the world where we support Christian ministry and the kinds of support we provide. From beautiful Nepal, India, Ukraine and Uganda, to the gritty aftermatch of hurricanes, Sudanese fighting, tsunami relief, and 9/11. NewLife has also supported programs and ministry at home such as Christian drug abuse programs, shelters, food pantries, summer camps, youth conventions, and prison ministry. Over the years, NewLife has partnered with ministries such as Samaritan’s Purse to build churches around the world.

In addition to sharing our mission with you, we are also bringing back some of our best-selling designs and offering them for sale again. Each design will have a brief history describing how it became a best-seller.

We hope you will enjoy your calendar as much as we have enjoyed producing it. We thank you for making our support of ministries and missions possible.

Church Plant in the Amazon

December 10th, 2008 by Amanda in Ministry

NewLife Industries has recently partnered with Go International of Wilmore, Kentucky, to plant a new church in the Amazon. Larry Cochran, missionary and former President of Go International, will be traveling to the Amazon basin in January to firm up the location of this church.

Formed about 40 years ago, Go International has ministered around the world and this year has planted eleven churches worldwide. The planting process begins with a visit to the area and discussions with a local leader. Go International then accesses four areas of feasibility: longevity, credibility, accountability and fruitability. If the pastor has vision and has shown good character, then discussion is furthered about the project.

Working with Go International, NewLife will provide a new building, pastor training, Bibles, tracts, discipleship materials, follow-up by a national leader and an evaluation every six months of this new church plant in the Amazon. We are excited about this project and will plan to bring you more news about it as the plan develops.

Wise Investments

October 29th, 2008 by Peggy in Miscellaneous | Tags: ,

I was rejoicing this morning over the recent investment reports coming from all across the world.

New investments by Peruvian pastors in Iquitos has netted a harvest of people who are producing incredible spiritual fruit. The kingdom is growing and hearts are set to increase our network to communities further inland where analysts indicate we will receive a good return.

The new churches in Santa Rosa Island, Peru are growing incredible dividends. Leaders there state their congregation has doubled in attendance, and with additional assets their outreach will continue multiplying spiritual profits a hundred fold.

More children in Lima and India are being invested in through education, feeding centers, and empowerment incentives. The results have been so satisfying. Dangerous centers of criminal activity have diminished, renewed hope is on the increase and many poor people are finding new ways to invest back into their communities to help others.

More Bibles and Christian literature are being funneled into the hands of Christian leaders because friends from GO InterNational are investing funds that will bring eternal dividends to multitudes of people living in spiritual darkness.

My heart is overflowing with joy as I receive these precious investment reports and witness our heavenly Father’s portfolio growing daily. What a great time to say to you again that our heavenly Father has given us expert advice:

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures on earth where moth and rust doth corrupt and thieves break through and steal, but rather lay up treasures in heaven.”

Do you really want to prosper? Then follow the Master Plan as outlined in God’s Word and you will discover daily the incredible joy that wise investments bring huge dividends.
