North American, Caribbean, and South American Highlights Funds were donated to World Missionary Press, a Christian interdenominational faith ministry, producing free topical Scripture booklets in more than 322 languages, along with Bible study booklets and New Testaments in a variety of languages to over 200 countries around the world. Persian rugs hand woven by Middle Eastern Christians were donated to a God's Food Pantry fundraiser in September 2007, Go International (ministry primarily in South and Central America), Dismas Charities, and Global Response Network (ministry in Africa and Asia). These rugs have been a very successful part of fundraising efforts for these ministries. NewLife continues to donate to Camp Crescendo, where one of our employees volunteers to work at a summer camp for children affected by AIDS. Continued support has been provided for Salvation Army Disaster Relief. "Shoutfest" 2007, a national Christian music festival held here in Somerset, received support. Funds were provided for wall repair around a Christian Seminary in Haiti. We continue to support the mission work of Clear Creek Charts as they carry the word of God to Russia, Haiti, and other parts of the world. NewLife recently donated more than 18,000 Christian comic books ("The Lion of Judah") to U.S. state and federal prisons, halfway houses and juvenile correction facilities. There is a real need for Christian reading material for those who are incarcerated and especially for those who are visual learners with lower level reading skills. Here are some of the resonponses we received:
Several young people received support for mission trips in addition to scholarship funds that were provided for a young lady from Brazil attending Christian college here in the United States. Bibles have been distributed in local nursing homes and among the elderly. Regular commitments continue to ministries such as Agape Service Foundation, Bethany Spouse Abuse Center, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Sunrise Children's Services. We consistently encourage the work of Christian radio local and national stations such as King of Kings Radio and K-LOVE. One Wednesday per month, NewLife Industries provides a Devotions session for its employees. Attendance at Devotions is voluntary and those who do attend really look forward to learning about what God is doing here in the U.S. and abroad. Back to NewLife Current Ministries |
